OverviewComSource has three goals in designing a telecommunications test facility: EnvironmentComSource’s Frederick facility features three test and evaluation laboratories. These laboratories were designed to house a variety of telecommunications equipment. The laboratories have sufficient room for a team of engineers to work effectively with the equipment. The laboratories have enough room for additional equipment to support changes in testing requirements. Each laboratory is equipped with a local area network to support the storage of test results, provide access to electronic equipment operations and maintenance information, and application development. ComSource has work areas and infrastructure capable of supporting thirty project engineers. SecurityThe ComSource Frederick facility utilizes state of the art equipment to ensure that client equipment and data is protected 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Site features include: internal and external surveillance systems, electronic access control, 24x7 alarm monitoring, and dedicated security portals for the laboratories. SafetyComSource is committed to the safety of client and ComSource personnel and customer equipment at its Maryland facility. Facility safety features include: custom designed grounding systems, redundant power systems backup, dry fire sprinkler systems in the laboratories, and custom designed radio frequency (RF) signal management equipment. Additionally, ComSource has a laboratory safety program and a RF safety program. |
